Remo+ Video Doorbell Review
The world is changing in ways people had not anticipated before. No longer do people have to search for a payphone, that feature has now moved into the palm of the hand via mobile gadgets. Also, no longer does it take a trip to the library to spend hours on research to get all the information you need, all it takes is a simple swipe of your finger on your smart phone or tablet and a few taps on the screen of that device to gather all the knowledge you could want.
Similarly, no one had anticipated that you could use that gadget to get you vacuum cleaner to clean up before a guest arrives. Also, it would be pretty visionary for someone to have thought of using that same device to know who could be knocking on your front door like the Remo+ Video Doorbell.
Visionary is what Remo+ are, and they have presented a video doorbell with style and flair. They are a manufacturer who have come up with a variety of innovative products for the homeowner. Let’s see how this Remo+ Video Doorbell performs.
Is The Video Clear?
It’s not a secret that the main reason you would want to have a video doorbell is just so you could see who’s knocking at your door. The other features such as recording are secondary to the main reason. So, how does the Remobell S achieve this?
While other products give video in 720p, Remobell S will stream video to your device at a resolution of 1536 by 1536. In case you’re wondering, this is proper HD resolution. The reason why it is a square and not 16:9 or 16:10 is because the video is presented in fisheye mode.
But that’s not all. There’s more to the camera. The device can also sense motion and alert you when someone is on your porch, giving you ample time to prepare a response, or catch a porch pirate in the act.

Storage Plan
Multiple plans are available, Remo+ “no plan” offer owners the option to store three days’ worth of video to the cloud, for free! Also, the Remo S plan comes with a 30 day free trial for cloud storage then offers a paid “standard” plan if you want to extend the video saving ability past the standard three day period. You can choose to store 30 days’ worth of video at the cost of $3 a month. If you choose an annual package, they reduce their fees to $30 per year. You can cancel at anytime with no cancellation fees or strings attached.

Is It Easy To Install?
Well, yes, but that’s if you’re technically adept, or are not afraid of following a few instructions to get things done. If you’re not sure what to do, then it would be best to find someone who is, or hire a professional.
Installing the Remobell S is a matter of going to the circuit breaker, then switching off the doorbell’s circuit. If you know how chimes work, then you should know that the Remo+ Video Doorbell is compatible with both mechanical and digital chimes.
From here, all you will have to do remove your old doorbell, and then connect the wires to the Remo+ Video Doorbell. The orientation of the wires doesn’t matter. It also comes with a choice of three different mounting plates, depending on the orientation of your door and how you want to mount the device. Below you can see an instructional video on how to install the Remo+ Video Doorbell.
Are There Any Other Features?
Definitely. The doorbell is controlled via an app that allows you to set your preferences when it comes to things like live video streaming, and also setting up motion alerts and the motion alert zone. This is important for when your doorbell is facing the street, every passing car doesn’t set off a motion alert.
Aside from that, the doorbell is also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, which allow you to pass voice commands to the doorbell for things such as live video viewing. The doorbell is also compatible with IFTTT applets, which means you can easily integrate together a variety of IFTTT devices for those who’d like a more connected home.
