ParcelWirx Vertical Premium Delivery Drop Box w/Hinged Lid

The ParcelWirx Vertical Premium Delivery Drop Box is a slight upgrade to the Standard Drop Box. It contains a very spacious interior, also has the same dimensions as the standard box 24″ L x 18″ W x 33.5″ H.  The main difference between the two boxes is the lid.  The lid on the Premium box has a hinged flip top lid.  This hing along with a latch allows the box to be locked.  The lid has a metal latch for either a traditional style lock or a smart padlock.  

What’s a smart padlock?  One example of a smart padlock is the BoxLock.  The BoxLock is the first padlock that uses smart technology, it combines a traditional lock and technology to alert you through your cell phone that a delivery was made.  We wrote about them in a earlier post. The delivery box’s latch is compatible with most locks. A lock though is not included. If you prefer the idea of the traditional lock, consider a combination lock.

This is made for the outdoors, the metal locker is painted in a powder coat finish to help it stand up to the elements.  Graphite is the only color available.  This simple minimalistic style flows well with most architectural designs.  ParcelWirx does include mounting hardware with parcel locker.  Even though this locker is fifty pound securing this to a deck or porch is recommended.

How Does It Work?

The ParcelWirx Secure Package Delivery Box Locker is a metal parcel locker equipped with a combination lock. This combo lock can either be left open and the delivery driver can place your parcel in the box and lock it up or the driver can be given the combination.  

When ordering online you can add on the special instructions line, the combo code.  This same line, is where you can alert the delivery company you have a parcel box for deliveries.

 This the last ParcelWirx parcel drop box we will profile, but certainly not the least!  This contraption is the most sophisticated parcel drop box that RTS Home Accents offers.   What’s the difference? Well this parcel locker has the classic parcel drop opening so it can accommodate multiple deliveries per day.  The delivery chute opening measures 8.25” H x 13.25” W x 19” D.  This spacious opening allows delivery drivers to slide your packages through the chute, and they fall into the locked parcel chamber.

This parcel drop box has the same combination lock as the version without the parcel chute.  This is a added benefit because if the parcel you order won’t fit through the parcel chute, you can leave the door open and have the driver put it right in the locker or leave the combination for them to open the box.

Dimensions

The bottom locker area dimensions are 18.1″ H x 14.2″ W.  Both metal parcel lockers have the same measurements 35.5″ H x 16.75″ W x 20.75″ D. The delivery chute opening measures 8.25” H x 13.25” W x 19” D.
