This secure delivery box is offered in four colors—black, white, mocha and grey—meaning that it will be sure to fit in with any home.
The Deluxe Package Delivery Box by Step2’s biggest selling point is its design. Followed closely by the flexibility in its colors and of course the available latch and locking mechanism. This secure delivery box will complement the design of most homes. Available in all four colors, the design will fit in perfectly for most customers. This secure delivery box not only protects your packages from thieves, but does so without looking like an eyesore.
Step2’s secure package delivery box is constructed out of a durable resin, which they claim to be both strong enough to withstand potential thieves and inclement weather. 2. Simplay3 Hide Away Delivery & Storage Box

The Simplay3 Hide Away Delivery and Storage Box is the most unique secure delivery box so far. By including an optional planter for the top of the package delivery box. This decision allows for plants to disguise the secure delivery box for your porch and add a bit of color. However, the rest of the design looks a bit more basic than the other package delivery boxes on this list. While not necessarily ugly, this package delivery box lacks the same level of flair that the former has and the later two supply.
Simplay3’s secure package delivery box is certainly unique by including a planter for the top of the box. This allows it to double as a piece to make your home look nicer with seasonal flowers, but as mentioned above, the design of the planter lacks the same flair that we see in the RTS Home Accents and Step2 package delivery boxes.
Unlike those two, this delivery box has a swinging door that opens on the front of the box, much like a cabinet. This would also require more effort to insert and retrieve the packages—rather than opening a lid and putting them in the bottom of the box, the delivery driver has to bend over to put them in the front—as do you when retrieving your packages.
Although Simplay3 does not disclose the specific material their delivery box is constructed with, they do note that it is a plastic and that the door is heavy enough to withstand forced entry. Furthermore, the front door is magnetized to keep it closed. Reviewers mentioned that the material is also waterproof and able to keep enclosed packages dry during rain or other inclement weather. Simplay3 does also mention that their package delivery box can be filled with sand or attached to some external object to keep it secured.
As with the other options, Simplay3’s package delivery box does not come with an included lock. The magnetized door does help to ensure that the door stays shut, but including some mechanism for securing the door would have been welcome. You will have to purchase separately a traditional padlock or recommended combination lock. Some people have mentioned that they use the BoxLock smart padlock with this delivery box, just like the Step2’s package delivery box does.
The Hide Away Delivery Box by Step3 approaches the problem of creating a package delivery box differently. Rather than making it an object that blends into your home by virtue of its design, they instead include a planter on the top to help it blend in. While this is certainly a unique take, it does not look quite as stylish as the Step2 Deluxe Package Box, especially when there are no flowers in the planter. If you are an avid gardener and are looking for more opportunities to grow flowers, this package delivery box makes a compelling offering. The main selling point of this package delivery box is the strength of its design. It will look good in most homes—like the Deluxe version, if your architecture does not match that of the box, it is probably more likely to stand out—but nonetheless this package delivery box will look good while keeping your deliveries safe and dry.
This package delivery box is available in black, mocha, and white, which makes this the second most diverse of these package delivery boxes in terms of colors offered. The designers also added the word “Deliveries” to the front of the box, a nice reminder to delivery drivers to leave your package in the package delivery box, rather than on a front step.
The secure package delivery box itself is constructed out of a durable plastic to keep the contents inside safe and dry in the case of any inclement weather. However, one reviewer complained that in high winds, the lid of the box blew off entirely, revealing the contents of the box. Although this may be an infrequent occurrence, it is worth noting if you live in a particularly windy area.
As we stated above the positives of this parcel box there are some disadvantages. The most glaring issue with this package delivery box by Step2 is that it does not include a lock, This security-by-obscurity approach may work in some cases, but that’s why we had to rank this model behind the locking Deluxe version that came in at #1. A less important benefit, then, is that this package delivery box can keep the boxes off your front step and creates a tidier look. There is value in keeping your deliveries out of site from would be package thieves. But with out a lock, there isn’t much significant security benefit to the box.
While this package delivery box by Step2 does look just as good as its deluxe sibling, it is difficult to recommend this version over the Step2 Deluxe Package Delivery Box. The fact that it is unable to accept a lock makes it inherently less secure. Although it is important to point out that this package delivery box is the most inexpensive parcel box on this list. We feel it is more prudent to spend more to get a package delivery box that is more secure and that will do a better job protecting your packages.

The Package Guardian is a totally unique offering on this list. While the previous for package delivery boxes have been boxes that you place on a front step, the Package Guardian is a steel-reinforced bag that you hang on your front door. Naturally, it looks less attractive because of this but the result is a secure package delivery box that does not need to be anchored to anything else.
The Package Guardian loses points for its design. It simply looks like a large bag hanging on the front of your door, and it will also prevent you from hanging a wreath or anything else on your door if you enjoy decorating that way.
Of course this will only interrupt your decorating when you have packages ordered. Most people only place the Package Guardian on their door when they know they have deliveries scheduled for that day. The Package Guardian fits on most doors so you do have the option on using it on your side or back door too. Just let your delivery company know you want your deliveries made around the back or side of your property.
The Package Guardian also works well with residents who live in multi unit dwellings. Apartments and condominiums are sometimes difficult to have a traditional parcel box left outside for one reason or another. This package delivery box easily slips over your front door and keeps your online purchases away from nosy neighbors and possible package bandits.
The bag is constructed of a black nylon fabric that does look understated and will not stand out as much as other colors, but that is the extent of the design. While the Package Guardian does not win any awards for its design, it will make up for its utilitarian look with a sharp focus on functionality.
The Package Guardian excels at providing the most secure package delivery box on the list. Being attached to a hook over the front door means that a potential thief would be entirely unable to remove the entire bag and get the packages later. Furthermore, the nylon fabric covering the bag is reinforced with 44 feet of steel cable sewn throughout the bag, so cutting into the bag is not an option either. The actual door hook is constructed of steel too. While the Package Guardian may not look as sexy as the other package delivery boxes on this list, it successfully trades form for function.
Another selling point for the Package Guardian is that it comes with a German-made ABUS lock. Enclosing a lock means that you do not have to spend extra money buying a lock for your package delivery box and can get started using it immediately. The inclusion of the lock is a very welcome addition in the face of several other package delivery boxes that come without locks entirely. Naturally, you are able to use a different lock if you wish, but the inclusion is an excellent feature of the Package Guardian.
For readers who prioritize security over all else, the Package Guardian makes the most compelling option on this list. Its secure construction with steel-reinforced fabric creating the bag and a steel hook to attach it to your front door make any would-be thief unable to break into the bag, and the included lock allows you to get this package delivery box set up as soon as possible.
